This paper provides an overview of modern feedback control methods for the voltage regulation in DC/DC converters DC microgrids. Control objectives and practical restrictions are defined used as indicators analysis performance assessment methods. After presenting concept each method, advantages limitations converter applications discussed. The main conclusions this can be recommendations selection suitable method according to requirements microgrid. low robustness against disturbances is a major issue all For enhancement methods, three approaches reviewed. Applications these compared with regard achieved disturbance rejection related cost nominal degradation. disturbance/uncertainty estimation attenuation (DUEA) framework appears most promising approach compromising opposing objectives. presented general converter, without any additional design requirement imposed by specific plant. allows generalisation assessment, which facilitate application similar systems, such AC/DC or motor drives.
